SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with information pertaining to a homicide that occurred in the Twin Peaks region. According to the press release from the SFPD, on Sunday, July 16, at approximately 7:50 a.m., a 71 year-old resident from SF in the Twin Peaks region was approached on foot by a male and female.

Witnesses in the region reported hearing a single gunshot. Both suspects fled the scene via vehicle. A jogger in the area provided CPR to the victim and a marked SFPD unit responding to the scene summoned medical aid. The victim, whose name has not yet been provided to the public was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The first suspect has been described as an African-American male between the ages of 20-25 years old, standing 5 feet and 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has shoulder length dreads. The second suspect is described as an African-American female between 17 and 18 years-old, standing 5 feet and 3 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds.

The escape vehicle is described as a dark grey Honda accord with rear end damage. A camera is believed to have been stolen from the victim.
