Gabriel Mann as Nolan

HOLLYWOOD—Last week’s episode of “Revenge” left audiences with a major cliffhanger when it was revealed that Patrick (Justin Hartley) was the culprit behind Conrad’s (Henry Czerny) near fatal car crash. “Dissolution” picked up precisely where last week’s episode ended, with Emily (Emily VanCamp) stumbling upon a terrible scene when she discovered tons of damage to her BFF Nolan’s (Gabriel Mann) abode.  The two friends bickered about where their loyalties lie; can Patrick really be trusted and will he cause a division between the lifelong friends?

Jack (Nick Wechsler) confided in Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) about the whereabouts of little Jack and the rumblings of Emily and Daniel’s (Josh Bowman) wedding. Emily is beginning to realize that her actions do indeed have repercussions of those that surround her. Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) was not pleased to see her hubby’s new ‘toy’ that he flaunted around the family, as he informed the family that Grayson Manor has been sold. Not a single person in the family was happy to hear the news. Emily was rattled the most, doing everything possible to get her hands on the home or to stop the sale.

Victoria confronted Patrick about his attempt to murder her husband; the fact that this woman is not able to see how dangerous and deceptive her first born could be is scary.  He does indeed have ulterior motives that are sure to surface in the coming weeks.  Daniel came face-to-face with the woman that he nearly killed in a car crash.  Some demons from his past will indeed haunt him until the end; it was a harsh does of reality that Danny boy so desperately needed. Nolan and Patrick decided to allow their relationship to flourish; to hell with what Emily and Victoria thought about things.

Charlotte did a devious deed by attempting to get Sarah fired from her job.  Wow, just when the audience thinksCharlotteis turning a new leaf, she proves she is just as wicked as her mother. Emily continued to masquerade her feelings for Aiden (Barry Sloane); the audience really has no idea if her feelings are genuine or not.

A drink at the bar revealed more to Jack about Nolan than he expected; I never expected the writers to drop that bombshell on Jack that Nolan has been playing Jack all along.  I hate to say this, but it almost feels as if the writers are setting up an end game for the series.  Could the third season be the final curtain call for “Revenge?”

Emily’s plan to make her home look like a danger zone rubbed off on Conrad’s real estate agent. That girl sure knows how to devise a clever plan. Nolan admitted to Jack that she has known about Emily from the get go and two friends realize, as much as they despise Emily’s transgressions, they must protect her for reasons that only they know. Charlotte attempted to reason with Sarah about ‘the new Daniel’ and then attempted to throw Emily under the bus.  Just imagine the jaw-dropping whenCharlottediscovers the truth about who Emily truly is. Conrad was not happy when he realized his real estate deal fell through; just as Victoria gloated about getting a divorce and moving out of the house.

Jack made a confession to Conrad to bury the hatchet, by revealing that Victoria’s son, Patrick, was the culprit in his fiery car crash. Emily was not happy with Nolan’s plan to go against her desires.  He unleashed a bit of anger that we have never seen from the character before.  He acknowledged, his true desire to only acquire, friendship. Aiden took Victoria to a secluded place where she discovered the missing Grayson fortune.  Her eyes lit up in a way that only money can do for some people.

Victoria revealed to Conrad the truth about the family’s fortune, just as he dropped the bombshell that he was aware that Patrick attempted to murder him.  It was news that the Queen Bee did not take well. Victoria was forced to deliver a heartbreaking goodbye to Patrick in order to keep him safe; I must say I felt sorry for Victoria, but its indeed a casualty of all the bad deeds from her past coming back to haunt her. The final moments of the episode saw Emily confessing to Nolan and Jack that she will disappear without a trace. The audience was given quite the tease; Emily’s plan for August 8. What is the deceptive Hamptonite planning? The murder of Emily Thorne at the hands of Victoria Grayson; now that is a plan. Until next Sunday “Revenge” lovers!
