SAN FRANCISCO—An San Francisco bicyclist was hit by a car on Tuesday, November 29 and suffered a serious head injury and a bruised eye. The suspect fled from the scene leaving behind, a side view mirror possibly from a dark blue colored Mini Cooper.

Dana Fernie, 29, was riding her bike home from a movie when she was hit by a car outside of 1072 Portero Avenue—next to the San Francisco General Hospital between the times of 10:15 and 10:27 p.m. Fernie has been unable to recall any details from the incident that she doesn’t remember anything about the incident  “I remember getting on my bike and then I don’t remember anything,” said Fernie to ABC 7 News.

Fernie was treated at San Francisco General Hospital with 10 stitches for a head laceration, road rash, bruising, and a major concussion according to Hoodline. She was released on Wednesday, November 30.

Fernie’s boyfriend, Dan Anderson said that others discovered her on the ground and walked the victim to the hospital.

Friend of Fernie, AnnaGrace Arnold is also seeking information and requests witnesses to directly message her through Twitter, @AnnaGrace_A.

Arnold tweeted on December 1, “SF!!! Help me catch the hit & run BASTARD that seriously injured @Danes7387! DM ME with ANY information.”

“SF is a small city and I know we can find the person who hit my friend & fled the scene if this post gets around. Please, please share,” added Arnold.

The San Francisco Police Department has requested anyone with information to call them directly as the investigation continues.
