SAN FRANCISCO—A 24-year-old woman was attacked with a samurai sword during an argument in the Outer Sunset District of San Francisco on Monday, December 26, officials from the San Francisco Police Department indicated.

A 31-year-old man was arrested by authorities on Monday at 32 Avenue and Noriega Street in connection to the attack. The name of the suspect has not been disclosed to the public.

According to the SFPD, the suspect and victim were involved in an argument around 2:30 a.m., when the suspect retrieved a sword from a third party.

The woman was cut on the leg as the suspect unsheathed the sword. The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities reported.
