SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department arrested a man who was involved in a string of commercial burglaries throughout the San Francisco area.

Chad Waltman, 43,  was responsible for a chain of burglaries throughout the Central District. Authorities were notified of Waltman’s crimes on Wednesday, December 4. On the same day, police recognized Waltman on the 600 block of Market Street.

Burglary tools were found on the suspect during a police search. He was taken into custody following the search, where he had an active warrant for a burglary prior to his arrest. He was booked on charges of possession of burglary tools, burglary, and grand theft.

The SFPD Burglary Unit arrested Waltman at the county jail on Friday, December 6 for a total of five commercial burglaries.
