SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, May 25, at around 12:42 p.m., officers with the San Francisco Police Department answered a call about a potential shooting at the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Hyde Street.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers encountered an unidentified male with life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as 43-year-old Leonardo Lundy, who died shortly after being rushed to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

After transmitting a description of the suspect’s vehicle, officers pinpointed the driver traveling eastbound on the Bay Bridge. In the midst of escaping, the suspect crashed his car into the intersection of Mandela Parkway and 24th Street in West Oakland. Officers arrested the suspect who was identified as Marion Robinson, of Martinez. Robinson was detained at San Francisco County Jail for one count of homicide and one count of reckless evading of a police officer.

The SFPD is not currently releasing a photo of the suspect for identification matters. The case is still under investigation.
