SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in a homicide case that occurred on Sunday, July 17, according to the SFPD website. Authorities are asking for anyone who has pictures or videos of the homicide incident or the events leading up to the incident to come forward with information.

On Sunday, at around around 1:30 a.m., officers from the SFPD responded to the 900 block of Geary regarding a shooting. The investigation  has revealed that an argument and altercation took place on the in the region that led to the shooting.

The victim of the shooting has been identified as Joshua Mejia, 26. Mejia succumbed to injuries he sustained from gunshot wounds. The SFPD told San Francisco News that no updates on the altercation or possible suspects have been disclosed to the public.
