SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect who stabbed a woman multiple times. The incident occurred on the 5200 block of Mission Street on May 11 at around 11:40 p.m., according to a press release from the SFPD.

The female victim, who is 23, knew the suspect, Guillermo Chavez-Perez, 50, who stabbed her multiple times in the torso with a knife during a dispute, before fleeing on foot. Perez is described by police as a Hispanic male, 5 feet and 5 inches, weighing 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and light colored pants.

Authorities suspect that Chavez may attempt to flee the country. Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact San Francisco Police at 415-575-4444 (anonymous) or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.
