SAN FRANCISCO—Starcity will be opening another co-living space in San Francisco located on 457 Minna Street in SoMa.

The new co-living space will be the largest development to date for the company. The Minna Street building will have 270 beds, utilities, Wi-Fi, 16-stories tall, completely furnished, and will hold community events to create a close environment within the living space.

According to Starcity, people who want to rent in the space will pay around $2,000 to $2,400 per room for more than 50 percent of the rooms. The other half of the rooms available will be offered between $800 to $1,000, below the market rate.

Living space in the West SoMa region has six room, the space in North Beach has a total of 12 rooms, and the space in the Mission District has 20 rooms. The spaces have been converted from old apartments, hotels and commercial buildings.

Starcity has another larger development in preparation in San Jose. The space on 199 Bassett Street will have 803 rooms and construction will start on the project later this year. No date for the construction on the Minna Street living space has been announced.
