CALIFORNIA—A professor at Orange Coast College (OCC) in Costa Mesa, was videotaped sharing her “anti-Trump” opinion after the election. The student who videotaped her lecture posted it to his Facebook page indicating he believed, “at this point it’s not teaching it’s indoctrination.” The student is now facing investigation and could face legal action or expulsion.

Olga Perez Stable Cox is a psychology professor who teaches a human sexuality course at Orange Coast College. In the recorded video she states, “Our nation is divided. We have been assaulted. It’s an act of terrorism.” The professor notes the most terrifying thing to her personally is that the people leading “the assault” are “among us.” Cox regards that the division hints back to the Civil War days, not by “fighting” but by the differences of opinions.

She goes on to add that those opposed to Trump are the majority and that “more of us voted to not have that type of leadership and we didn’t win because of the way our electoral college is set up, but we are the majority and that is helping me to cope.”

During the end of the video, Cox begins to explain different coping mechanisms she has found useful in response to the election. Some of these include looking for “positive messages and glimmers of hope.”

The student responsible for recording and sharing this video to Orange Coast Republicans, is the Orange Coast Republican President, Joshua Recalde-Martinez. Recalde-Martinez is a political science major at Orange Coast College.

In a second video released, Cox ensures that she will do everything she can to ensure a safe environment in her classroom.
