SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department has apprehended a suspect in connection to murder that occurred on August 7. Deandre Watson, 26, was already in police custody for another case when investigators obtained information that lead to the identity of Watson as the responsible party in the murder of Paris Raynaldo.

According to a press release from the SFPD website, Raynaldo was fatally shot several times on the 900 block of Connecticut Street at his home during the morning hours on August 7. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

A motive for the crime has not yet been disclosed by authorities. Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to contact the SFPD anonymously with any information on this case at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
