SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s help after an assault transpired on December 18 on Mason Street.

Investigations from the Tenderloin Station stated that at 1:00 p.m., the unidentified subject punched a 38 year-old male.  The victim was knocked to the ground and stomped on by the suspect’s head while he was on the ground before fleeing the scene. It was stated that the suspect headed northbound on Mason Street following the attack. The victim’s identity or his condition has not yet been disclosed to the public.

Two photos were provided from surveillance camera footage in which the suspect was seen wearing what appeared to be an all grey sweatsuit and a dark New York Yankees cap.    

The San Francisco Police Department is asking anyone with information on the attack or who can identify the suspect, to call the SFPD 24-hour tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.  Tipsters can also email SFPDtenderloin@sfgov.org.
