SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities from the San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s help to nab the person responsible for robbing an elderly woman. The incident occurred on August 8, when an 87 year-old woman was robbed on the 500 block of Leavenworth Street at around 9:00 p.m.

According to a press release from the SFPD website, the victim was knocked to the ground and dragged. She suffered several broken bones and bruises from the attack. The elderly woman is still recovering from her injuries at a care facility.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, 40-50 years of age and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He has a skinny face and was seen wearing a knit cap and a dark color leather jacket.
