SAN FRANCISCO—Three individuals were hospitalized following a shooting which involved three suspects. The shooting took place in the San Francisco Mission District at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28. The three suspects had reportedly attempted to rob the three victims before shooting them and driving away.

After police pursued the suspected shooters, the suspects’ vehicle crashed into several parked vehicles before backing into the police car pursuing them. Authorities arrested the suspects on sight. Police officials also recovered two guns, a semi-automatic weapon, and several gun cartridges that were on the street. One police officer suffered minor injuries during the crash, but was treated in a nearby ambulance.

One of the three men who were shot during the attempted robbery suffered life-threatening injuries while the other two suffered minor gun-inflicted injuries. The suspects arrested included 34-year old Larry Carr, 30-year-old Jason Whittenburg, and 33-year-old George Vickers.

All three are being charged with multiple felonies including assault with a deadly weapon, possession of an illegal firearm, and attempted homicide. Police are investigating whether these suspects are responsible for a string of other robberies that have taken place in the area.
