SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities are searching for the suspect responsible for shooting two men in the South of Market neighborhood on Friday, May 24, the San Francisco Police Department. The shooting transpired at 1:38 p.m. at Sixth and Mission Streets in the city’s SoMa District.

Witnesses indicated that the suspect shot the victims two times in front of the Miss Saigon restaurant and fled the scene. The victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital where they were listed in critical condition.

The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management put an alert out on Friday on Twitter reading:

“Avoid the area of 6th and Mission Streets due to police activity.”
