SAN FRANCISCO—Two homeless people were shot to death on Sunday, December 18. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:46 p.m. in San Francisco’s Mission District, according to reports.

The victims have been identified as Lindsey McCollum, 27, and Eddie Tate, 51. The victims were shot between 16th Street and South Van Ness Avenue. The McCollum was pronounced dead at the scene, while Tate was taken to a hospital where he later died.

A second shooting was reported involving a man in his 40s who suffered non-life-threatening injuries near 14th and Valencia Streets, indicated the San Francisco Police Department. Authorities have not determined if both shootings are connected to one another.

The SFPD are searching for the suspect(s) involved in each shooting. Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department.
