SAN FRANCISCO—A broken water main at the intersection of Brussels and Ordway caused severe damage on Friday, July 5. No one was reported injured, but approximately five homes were flooded as a result of the water main break.
This was the second water main-related flood around San Francisco in two days. Another water main broke on Thursday, July 4, close to the intersection of Hartz Avenue and Diablo Road in downtown Danville. The intersection was closed immediately as workers began fixing the problem.
The cause of both water main breaks were not disclosed, but workers continue to try and fix the problem.
