SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department are seeking additional witnesses to come forward with information involving a fatal vehicle collision.  According to a press release from the SFPD, at approximately 11:00 a.m. on February 4, police responded to a car collision at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Yorba near the city’s Sunset District.

A red vehicle that was traveling southbound on Sunset collided with a pedestrian who was in the middle of the crosswalk near Yorba. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Information regarding the victim’s identity has not yet been released to the public.

Authorities arrested Jasmine Ching, 72, ofSan Francisco, on manslaughter charges for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The San Francisco Police Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TCIU) is investigating the case.
