SAN FRANCISCO—A woman was assaulted in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Thursday, September 7. Officer Robert Rueca of the SFPD’s Media Relations department disclosed news of the incident in a Daily Recap.

At 6:30 a.m. on the 1200 block of Quesada, the suspect approached the victim from behind and hit her with an unidentified object without saying anything. The suspect was arrested on scene and is currently in custody.

The victim, who has been identified as a 62 year-old female, was taken to the hospital, where her injuries were determined to be non life-threatening. The suspect is an African-American male, 53, whose name has not been disclosed to the public.
