SAN FRANCISCO—A woman was shot in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco on Sunday, January 5.

Officials on the scene described the woman as being shot multiple times and later died after being transported to the hospital. The SFPD has not yet released the name of the victim.

No information about the suspect has been released to the public who remains at large. The San Francisco Police Department is encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the homicide to come forward with any information. They also reminded the public that they may remain anonymous and provide any details about the shooting via SFPD tip line.  

“A Homicide occurred at Larkin & Ofarrell this morning at approximately 3:51 am. Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to call us on our tip line at (415)575-4444. You can remain anonymous,” tweeted the SFPD Tenderloin Distrct.
