Commercial Burglar James Flanagan Arrested

James Flanagan has been arrested by the SFPD for his role in a series of commercial burglaries in the San Francisco region.

SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department revealed that they have arrested a suspect in connection to a series of burglaries in the Central and Southern Police Districts over a six week period. According to the SFPD, on April 25, at approximately 11:13 a.m. individuals from the SFPD Burglary Unit apprehended James Flanagan, 58, of San Francisco on Ellis Street.

Flanagan targeted tech startup companies between March 12 and April 24. Officials noted losses in the crimes totaled nearly $75,000 in electronics. An investigation led to the identification of Flanagan who previously had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and charged with 12 counts of burglary and 9 counts of grand theft. Flanagan has a broad history of burglary arrests and was on felony probation during these crimes.
