HOLLYWOOD—While we’re still three months before the official Daytime Emmy Awards, the industry has a bit of an idea of those competing for the top prize as the pre-nominations were announced for some of your favorite soap stars.  The top 10 candidates were selected in each of the following races: Lead Actress, Lead Actor, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Younger Actress and Younger Actor.

Nominees for Lead Actress include Sharon Case “The Young and the Restless,” Jeanne Cooper “The Young and the Restless,” Melody Thomas Scott “The Young and the Restless,” Michelle Stafford “The Young and the Restless,”  Susan Flannery “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Finola Hughes “General Hospital,” Kelly Sullivan “General Hospital,” Laura Wright “General Hospital,” Peggy McCay “Days of Our Lives,” Kelly Monaco “General Hospital” and Heather Tom “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Contenders for Lead Actor include Maurice Benard “GeneralHospital,” Roger Howarth “General Hospital,” Jason Thompson “General Hospital,” Peter Bergman “The Young and the Restless,” Doug Davidson “The Young and the Restless,” Michael Muhney “The Young and the Restless,” Christian J. LeBlanc “The Young and the Restless,” Don Diamont “The Bold and the Beautiful,” John McCook “The Bold and the Beautiful” and Stephen Nichols “The Young and the Restless.”

For Supporting Actress nominees are Jessica Collins “The Young and the Restless,” Melissa Claire Egan “The Young and the Restless,” Elizabeth Hendrickson “The Young and the Restless,” Julie Marie Berman “General Hospital,” Nancy Lee Grahn “General Hospital,” Lisa LoCicero “General Hospital,” Rebecca Herbst “General Hospital,” Robin Mattson “General Hospital,” Arianne Zucker “Days of Our Lives” and Katherine Kelly Lang “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

In the Supporting Actor race are Bradford Anderson “General Hospital,” Jeff Branson “The Young and the Restless,” Billy Miller “The Young and the Restless,” Peter Porte “The Young and the Restless,” Greg Rikaart “The Young and the Restless,” Scott Clifton “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Shawn Christian “Days of Our Lives,” Bryan Dattillo “Days of Our Lives,” James Reynolds “Days of Our Lives” and Greg Vaughn “Days of Our Lives.”

Those vying for the prize for Younger Actor include Casey Deidrick “Days of Our Lives,” Chandler Massey “Days of Our Lives,” Freddie Smith “Days of Our Lives,” Chad Duell “General Hospital,” Tequan Richmond “General Hospital,” Adam Gregory “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Max Ehrich “The Young and the Restless,” Bryton James “The Young and the Restless” and Daniel Polo “The Young and the Restless.”

In the race for Younger Actress the contenders include Jacqueline MacInnes Wood “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Kim Matula “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Linsey Godfrey “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Kristen Alderson “General Hospital,” Lindsey Morgan “General Hospital,” Haley Pullos “General Hospital,” Kate Mansi “Days of Our Lives,” Camila Banus “Days of Our Lives” and Hunter King “The Young and the Restless.”

The official list of nominees will be unveiled on May 1, 2013.
