HOLLYWOOD—Basketball star Lamar Odom has lost another one of his close friends. Writer and producer Bobby Heyward, 30, died of a drug overdose on Saturday, June 20.
The news comes days after Jamie Sangouthai’s death. Sangouthai also died of a drug overdose.
Heyward made a tribute to Sangouthai via Instagram after he learned of his friend’s death. He shared a group photo of himself alongside Jamie Sangouthai, Lamar Odom, and another friend.
He wrote alongside the photo, “#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into and laughter as well at all times J you will always be missed. Family for life. #BandOfBrothers #tbt.”
Khloe Kardashian, ex-wife of Odom, has been by Odom’s side through the loss of his friends.
Heyward’s girlfriend Kristen Carpenter was asked on one of her Instagram photos how she is handling her partner’s death and she responded back: “It’s a deeply sad time but celebrating all the wonderful things about him and his life.”
His sister, Bianca, took to Instagram and posted a childhood photo of herself and her two brothers and captioned the family shot: “My Boys.”
