SAN FRANCISCO—According to a press release from the San Francisco Police Department, on June 23 two suspects entered a jewelry store and took merchandise valued at over $500,000. Two arrests have been made in connection to the jewelry heist.

Around 3:44 a.m. on June 23, two suspects entered a jewelry store on the 100 block of O’Farrell Street in the Union Square Neighborhood. Surveillance pictures and video show the suspects entering a parking garage. One suspect entered the jewelry store and loaded jewelry cases into a duffel bag before the suspects escaped with the merchandise.

The SFPD identified and arrested two suspects with the help of patrol officers who recognized the suspects from the surveillance footage. During the arrest, officers were able to recover some of the stolen property,

At 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, the SFPD Central Police Station Investigators arrested Andreaus Trevell Garrett and Carlnell McKinley Pitts for their involvement in the crime.

Garrett, 24, a San Francisco resident was arrested on charges that included: second degree burglary, grand theft, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, carrying a concealed weapon, and carrying a loaded firearm.

Pitts, 27, a San Francisco resident was arrested on charges that included: second degree burglary, grand theft, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy.
