SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, February 17, the San Francisco Fire Department reported on its Facebook page that its crews along with San Francisco Police Department rescue boats, saved a surfer from the waters.
The surfer encountered an “aggressive wave” that resulted in his board breaking in half. It resulted in the surfer taking a tumble in the surf line.
The surfer was safely assisted to shore by officials. The male surfer did not sustain any medical complications as a result of the incident and is expected to be ok. No additional details about the incident has been disclosed to the public.
