Suspect In Custody For Golden Gate Park Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities from the San Francisco Police Department have arrested Randy Baldwin, 31, of San Francisco in connection to a shooting incident that occurred at Golden Gate Park on June 18. On June 18, at approximately 6:35 p.m. a victim was shot in the leg inside Golden Gate Park.

The suspect fled the scene of the crime and authorities began a thorough investigation to locate the culprit. 

SF investigators from the Park Station served a search warrant on the unit block of Hollywood Court on July 7 where Baldwin was taken into custody. He was booked at the San Francisco County Jail on possession of a stolen concealed firearm, possession for sales of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, carrying a dirk or dagger and assault with a firearm. The suspect also had several outstanding traffic warrants.
