HOLLYWOOD—Only in Hollywood. Cristiano Ronaldo bares more than his soul in the film “Ronaldo.” From his villa in Madrid to his native Madeira, one gets a little insight into what makes him a phenomenal soccer player, in fact a superstar, hounded by fans and the press.
The film premiere was held on November 9, in both London and New York City. My daughter Kelly Olszuk appears in the film as a “photographer” when she covered the Portuguese National team in June 2014. The film shows Ronaldo hopelessly devoted to his mother, his young son, and his agent, Jorge Mendes. While he was attending the movie premiere, Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, who loves Birkin bags, escaped to the Bahamas for a vacation over the weekend with her boyfriend Bradley Cooper.
The trip came after Cooper’s busy press tour for the film “Burnt,” which had him popping up in London and Rome over the past few weeks. The film hit theaters Halloween weekend, giving Bradley a break from the grueling schedule of filming to spend time in the sun with his girlfriend Irina. It seems the couple loves to travel-remember their August trip to Italy.
In “Burnt,” Adam Jones (Cooper) is a chef who destroyed his career with drugs and a diva behavior. He cleans up and returns to London, focused and determined to redeem his reputation and rebuild his life. The film boasts A-listers such as Emma Thompson, Uma Thurman and many more. “Burnt” is a spicy treat.
Cooper’s performance as the arrogant, hot-tempered Adam, and his cold charismatic performance is one of the highlights in the film. He does an excellent job as an arrogant chef which his character is engaging and Adam succeeds to manufacture triumph. The verdict is that like most chef stereotypes, the film “Burnt,” makes the same old dish taste delicious. The movie has substance and is not just a flash in the pan.
Substance, affection, that was what we saw between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton at various parties they attended together. Then of course, last week at the CMA awards the smiles and happiness. So the cat’s out of the bag, they are dating and it’s official. Oh, and this is awkward. On the same day that Gwen was talking about how she’s moved on from her crumbling marriage, to soon-to-be ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, he was still spotted wearing his wedding band.
Looks like all season long fans of “The Voice,” have watched the two of them exchange cute flirtations. Officially a couple, the country star, 39, and the rock-pop princess, 46, have lots in common. The two apparently bonded over their broken marriages this past year. Shelton finalized his divorce from Miranda Lambert in July and Gwen announced her split from Gavin Rossdale in August. While there were backstage rumors, signs of affections, the new couple made their debut as a couple at the CMA Awards after party on November 4, one day after flying into Nashville together.
So how is Miranda Lambert doing? Miranda who shares the same birthday as me on November 10, celebrated with diamonds. She posted on Instagram a photo displaying not one, but two diamond earrings in one of her ears, alongside the caption: “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!”
I couldn’t agree more, Miranda. The day prior she spent with her gal pals, good friends are hard to find. Her hometown of Lindale, Texas, showed their support by wishing her “Happy Birthday,” on a billboard.
