BEVERLY HILLS—My name is “Lisi” and I’m a little Chihuahua mix. No, I wasn’t abandoned - not abandoned in the true sense of the word, that is - but I was given up because of, “had to move and couldn't find a place.…” I’m sure that you know the rest of the sentence by now. I’m just a little thing, maybe 10 pounds soaking wet, so I don’t know why my family couldn’t find a place to live that would have been glad to have a little ten pounder like me. Well, hopefully, someone will see my picture and want to welcome me into their home where we’ll all live happily ever after!
Now, let me see if what I tell you about myself will make you call to see me. I’m a young one, only a year and a half, and I get along with other dogs just fine. I’ve never been with cats, but seeing that I get along with children of all ages, I’m sure that cats would be no problem at all, as I’m not aggressive in any way. I have no bad habits that I can think of, as I’ll share my belongings, I won’t drive you crazy with barking, and I won’t be a problem if you have to leave me alone for a while. You won’t even have to housebreak me, as that’s already been taken care of. I love to take walks, and, yes, I'm one of those that likes to snuggle, too!
I hate to brag, but I’ve only heard nice things said about me. So, won’t you please call to see me, and you can judge for yourself. I know that there's always the chance that I won’t be the one for you, so that makes it lucky for some of the other dogs and cats that are here. You can see all of them if you go to: foafla.petfinder.com.
Note: Here are a few sayings that will put a smile on your face as much as, I’m sure, cute little “Lisi’s” picture. “Most dog owners are at length able to teach themselves to obey their dog.” - Robert Morley; “An old dog, even more than an old spouse, always feels like doing what you feel like doing.” - Robert Brault; “A cat, after being scolded, goes about it's business. A dog slinks off into a corner and pretends to be doing a serious self-reappraisal.” - Robert Brault.
