SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of Islam Moustafa, 32, of San Francisco for the stabbing death of Noda Nasser, 67, of San Francisco on Friday, January 12. According to a press release from the SFPD, on January 12 at 10:34 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Randolph Avenue of a person who was stabbed by his mother.

After arriving on the scene, authorities found Nasser who was treated by San Francisco Fire Department paramedics, but he died from injuries sustained while being treated at a local hospital. An investigation by the SFPD Homicide Unit was initiated and officers from the Taraval Station were able to immediately identify the suspect and make an arrest within 24 hours of the initial incident. Moustafa was booked at the San Francisco County Jail for murder.
