NEW YORK—Prepare yourself music lovers for the next big awards show. The nominees for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards were announced on Wednesday, July 17 and leading the pack is triple threat Justin Timberlake with six nominations including Video of the Year.  Also on Justin’s coattails is Ryan Lewis and Macklemore who also grabbed six nods.

Bruno Mars picked up four nominations including Best Male Video, while R&B sensation Robin Thicke picked up three nominations for his summer anthem “Blurred Lines.”  A full list of nominees are listed below.  The 2013 VMA’s will take place on Sunday, August 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
