SAN FRANCISCO—On November 7, the San Francisco Police Department disclosed that it is asking for the public’s help to bring holiday cheer to children in need. For 2024, more than ever, the Police Department is encouraging and asking the community to please be generous in supporting this very worthy cause.

In the nine years of collaboration with Walgreens, SFPD will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at over 40 San Francisco Walgreens locations starting Friday, November 8 through Friday, December 20, 2024.

Individuals can purchase or drop off a new, unwrapped toy in any San Francisco Walgreens or any district police station, that will be collected by the police department and donated to a child this holiday season. Last year, approximately 6,000 toys were donated at the city’s Walgreens stores.

The toy drive kicks off at 12 p.m., November 8 at Walgreens located at 3601 California Street. The toy drive will be collecting gifts at all Walgreens stores in San Francisco.

For interview requests or questions regarding the toy drive contact the SFPD Media Relations Unit at 1-415-837-7395 or email at sfpdmediarealtions@sfgov.org.
