SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department announced that several suspects have been arrested connected to a retail theft operation on October 11. The SFPD reported officers from Ingleside District were conducting an Organized Retail Theft operation at a retail establishment located on the 900 block of Geneva Ave.

The operations were intended to assist businesses that have been experiencing commercial burglaries and thefts. At approximately 6:37 p.m. police officers spotted a group of approximately eight people rush into the business wearing masks and carrying bags while pulling a wagon-styled cart. The subjects quickly started to fill their bags and the wagon with store merchandise.

Officers made contact with the subjects who fled from the store and a foot pursuit ensued. Officers were able to detain several subjects without further incident.

Officers developed probable cause to arrest 6 suspects (a 16-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, a 20-year-old male, a 24-year-old male, a 34-year-old female and a 54-year-old male) for felony charges of burglary (459 2nd Degree PC), conspiracy (182 PC), and organized retail theft (490.4(A) PC). The names of those suspects have not yet been disclosed to the public.
