SAN FRANCISCO—On Sunday, July 13, “Sunday Streets,” a pop-up community celebration, occurred in the Tenderloin District.
“Sunday Streets” occurs every Sunday between March and October in different San Francisco neighborhood locations, modeled after a Colombian tradition of free and healthy community activities, known as “Ciclovía.”
Similar community events also occur around the world in places such as Tokyo and the Ukraine, according to the “Sunday Streets” website.
