Kirsten Dunst is, not surprisingly, one of the latest Hollywood stars who has thrown her support behind Barack Obama for president. Dunst, normally not involved in politics, tells a U.S. publication that she’s willing to do whatever is necessary to insure Obama’s win this November.
While Christina Applegate made it public this week on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that she chose to have a double mastectomy in order to insure no death in the future from breast cancer. This radical treatment has become more popular with women who have a genetic history of breast cancer deaths. Robin Roberts of ABC News says that Christina held up until the interview was over and then she broke down. Friends like Jennifer Aniston and Sheryl Crow have been supporting the young actress and offering to help her in any way.
Danny Glover is normally very outspoken but now he’s gone so far as to brand Hollywood studios and moguls racist for not finding the backing for a biopic about the revolutionary Haitian leader Toussaint L’ouverture. Despite finding an audience for such a movie, studio chiefs were scratching their heads this week for being under attack by Glover. Glover was hoping for $18 million that was needed to produce the film about the man who fought to abolish slavery in Haiti in the late 1700s.
The “Beverly Hills 90210” spin-off is top secret. Producers of the show are releasing no images or scenes to the press. Normally we receive a selection of clips in order to help promote the show. But producers are planning a top secret rollout of this show. Jenny Garth has been telling everyone in the press that working with Shannen Doherty has not been as bad as before and she’s pleasantly surprised, but she is sad that her long time friend Tori Spelling will not be a part of the new series.
On September 8, it will not only be David Arquette’s 37th birthday, but the actor, who is married to former star of “Friends” Courteney Cox, will be celebrating his new clothing line in New York City. The very zany and quirky dresser, along with fellow fashion flop Ben Harper, are starting a new clothing line on his birthday. Those who have seen the fashion only had to say, "Tom Ford they are not"
And Laurence Fishburne will be heading to CBS’s hit “CSI: Crime Scene Investigators” on the ninth episode this fall to replace producer and star William Petersen.
