Tina “O” Hillstrom threw a fantastic bash in Beverly Hills recently for Kelly Sutherland’s birthday. Kelly is the ex wife of “24” star Kiefer Sutherland and one of the most knowledgeable agents at the Beverly Hills Coldwell Banker office. Friends came out in droves to celebrate. The theme was “Sing a Song or Move Along.“ Beautiful Tina O is the original party planner to the stars in Hollywood and the wife of the famed Dr. Brad Hillstrom.

Carl Weinshanker brought the cake and Harry Dubin yelled, “let them eat it!” The eclectic guest list included Linda Thompson, who was returning from a 2 week vacation in Spain, handsome star and my friend actor Michael Woods of “Cold Case” and “As the World Turns,” who was looking hip and hot, Fred Holly the Coldwell Banker man, super model Kelly Emberg, who is the daughter of Ruby Stewart and rocker Rod Stewart, attorney Mike Padia, actress Pam Stanley, who looked so fresh coming in from Aspen. Pam used to be married to Paul Stanley of the band KISS, Carol Weinschenker, one of Beverly Hills most respected Interior Designers with great architectural skills, and even Donald Trump’s ex the beautiful Marla Maples attended.

While going around the room I heard rumors that in addition to Pam Stanley, Tina O herself may be joining the cast of the BRAVO Channel’s upcoming “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” As far as I’m concerned the Beverly Hills concept should have been the first one BRAVO thought of. Go figure! When Canyon News asked Tina Hillstrom about the rumor, she simply replied, “I cannot discuss whether it’s happening or not, but I’d be very open to it. I think it would be a lot of fun.”
Though Tina’s handsome and dignified husband Dr. Brad Hillstrom would not give me any details about the rumor or not. He spent most of the evening with Allan Forrest while over one hundred others dashed to the campy Beverly Hills soiree. International artist Josee Nadaeu had just returned from Paris and Tore Hogstvedt one of the most distinguished Norwegian painters was just in from Norway. Though it was a “Sing a Song or Move Along” night, both artists joined Dr. Hillstrom in avoiding the microphone. The three however were under a whole different type of social spotlight. Being approached by everyone in the room for various questions and reasons.
Richard Perry and Dr. Brad Hillstrom
Being Southern, I love tea. Tina offered a delicious Long Island High Iced Tea in the back parlor of her Beverly Hills mansion, which is just around the corner from the famed Beverly Hills Hotel. The English accented Martin Genis sang the night away, while beautiful Amy Carrier, former fiancé of Tommy Armour, III was whisked away by a very handsome gentleman whose name I shall keep tucked away in my pocket.
Richard Perry showed up without his new gal pal, actress Jane Fonda. She was back home at her ranch in New Mexico, the handsome Perry told Tina. But no word on whether the rumors of their upcoming marriage are true or not. Tina O tells Canyon News, "I was in church when I heard this rumor. I apologize for not knowing whether it's true or not or who I heard it from. I was listening to the sermon at the time."
After the party ended, well it didn’t! We all went up to the record producer Richard Perry’s house in Hollywood Hills to plan for the next Tina O party, which Canyon News readers can keep up with thanks to my becoming joined at the hip to the beauty. When it was finally time for me to break away from hearing Tina O and her other potential Beverly Hills Housewives give out insider trading secrets. I asked her what she had planned next. Tina told Canyon News, “It’s time to break, but please will you be glad for those of us who adore throwing parties in this town! And please don’t forget to send your thank-you note in cursive.” The socialite said with a laugh.
I quickly called everyone back home to tell them about Tina O Hillstrom’s famous bashes and how I have become addicted to them. My mother warned me to only drink the tea if Dr. Hillstrom made it. Sorry, mom!
