HOLLYWOOD—A mystery raises its head: Abby Fenwick questions Jason about the enigmatic student, who variously texts in English and who can't even write his own name.
LOS ANGELES—Lots of people cherish their ultimate to-do lists, those interesting collections of activities to try and places to see before we kick the bucket. They are usually filled with adventures like jumping out of airplanes or getting in touch with long-lost friends, but not always.
HOLLYWOOD—On Friday night, you have an opportunity to go out and find a comical horror film that is filled with rednecks, who do not mind playing humor. Tucker and Dale are two guys on vacation at their dilapidated mounting cabin when they are attacked by a group of preppy college kids. Those kids end up finding out that they have possibly bitten off more than they can chew, and it’ll leave the audience in laughter and hysterics.
LAUREL CANYON—Earlier in the week, I had the opportunity to catch up with local actor and musician Greg Cipes, who currently can be seen on ABC’s “General Hospital” and Lifetime’s docu-series “Roseanne’s Nuts,” starring the infamous comedian and actress Roseanne Barr and her family.
LOS ANGELES—It is commonly known that when people work together or have any type of relationship that involves making important decisions together, disagreements and difference of opinions between them will arise. Let’s face it; there is not such a thing as a “free of conflict” workplace.
MANHATTAN, NY—Mary McDonough’s New York début of “Lessons From the Mountain: What I Learned From Erin Walton,” featuring a Q&A with TV brother, Richard Thomas, who portrayed eldest Walton son John Boy, can only be defined as a success.
SUN VALLEY—In giant strokes of old-fashioned chalk, Jason wrote "is," "am," are" and "were." The sound of the chalk scratching on the board filled the silent classroom. At the end of the morning, the yellowish chalk dust would be sprinkled on his shirt cuffs. The smell of fresh-brewed coffee slowly invaded the sweet musk of old library that imbued Jason's classroom, arousing his desire for a cup.

I didn’t discover, until much later, that his main interest was in film production. Of course, this was the 1950s when persons of color were not considered for any kind of production position in the industry.
