SAN FRANCISCO—San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom married his 34-year-old girlfriend, actress Jennifer Lynn Siebel from the NBC television series “Life,” on July 27, 2008 in Stevensville, Montana.

The two were married at sunset at the Bitterroot River Valley. There were more than 200 family, friends, and VIP’s of the bride and the groom attending the wedding. This was Mayor Gavin Newsom’s second marriage and Jennifer Lynn Siebel’s first.

The wedding was accompanied by three consecutive days of festivities such as a barbecue, barn dancing, a day of golf and tennis at the Stock Farm Club resort and a reception along the river valley.

The couple’s wedding theme was "Out of Africa" and to top it all off, the two planned their honeymoon in Kenya and South Africa. The mayor and his new wife’s chosen honeymoon spot was a place close to Jennifer Lynn Siebel’s heart after she spent time helping out a Conservation International environmental group.

Jennifer Lynn Siebel was also one of the few to stand by Mayor Gavin Newsom’s side through the highs and lows of his term, specifically in 2006 when the mayor divorced his former wife, publicly admitted to having an affair with the wife of a staff member and spoke openly about his drinking problem.

Mayor Gavin Newsom has been considering running for governor in 2010.
