— More than 1,000 people participated in the ninth-annual "No Pants Subway Ride" event. Underwear-clad passengers sported their goods, leaving other riders surprised and unaware of what was going on.

O.J. Simpson, accused of an alleged robbery in Las Vegas last month, was
released from the custody of the Clark County Detention Center after
paying the $125,000 bail set . Judge Joe Bonaventure read out the 11
charges against Simpson stemming from the allegations against the former
football star.  Charges include the theft of sports memorabilia including
baseballs, plaques, a photo feautring J. Edgar Hoover and a mobile phone,
according to police reports.  Kidnapping charges were also added.

VENICE - A fundraiser entitled "Rescue Me" for The Whale Rescue Team (WRT) took place on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Epoxy Box Gallery in Venice to raise awareness about entangled or beached whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions and sea birds along the California coast. For 20 years, WRT volunteers have come to the aid and rescue of these marine animals. The jam-packed event was hosted by Deborah Guyer-Greene, Peter Wallerstein, Kris Kelly, Jane Velez-Mitchell and Lena Nozizwe.......
