HOLLYWOOD—In the last decade, so many factors such as the Internet and a sluggish economy have impacted the way people shop. Today’s consumers differ so much from the shoppers of yesteryear with so much access to information and knowledge. In technology-smart phones, iPads, tablets are constantly changing and being updated. Online shopping has increased significantly and shoppers are turning to the internet to buy. From beauty products from cosmetic pallets to a stroke of genius, “Brush N’ Color,” the new kind of temporary color with shades of purple, green, red and blue shades for the hair.

Clearly, actress Amanda Bynes didn’t go for the temporary color, she decided to appear in court on July 9, in a long blue sky wig to face allegations that she threw a marijuana bong from the window of her Manhattan apartment. The 27-year-old is charged with reckless endangerment and attempted tampering with physical evidence. During her court appearance she didn’t utter a word. The “Hairspray,” star was arrested two months ago after building officials called police to complain she was smoking marijuana in the lobby. Prosecutors claim she threw the bong out of the window in front of the officers. The former child star, who rose to fame in Nickelodeon’s “All That” has had several scrapes with the law and is on probation for driving on a suspended license in California. She was also in the movie “She’s the Man,” about a teenager Viola Hastins who enters her brother’s school in his place, pretending to be a male, in order to play with the boy’s soccer team. The 2006 romantic comedy also starred Channing Tatum. The film received mixed reviews with broad slapstick, predictable jokes and an unconvincing plotline. Bynes also appeared in the movie “Big Fat Liar.” She is ordered to return to court on September 26.

On the same day, Mariah Carey dislocated her shoulder after taking a tumble on the set of her latest music video. The 43-year-old was filming the remix of her single “#Beautiful,” with rapper Young Jeezy when the accident happened. Some reports suggest that perhaps she tripped over while dancing in heels for the video, which was being directed by her husband Nick Cannon. Carey was taken to the hospital where doctors were able to put her shoulder back into place. Carey is expected to perform with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in Central Park on July 13 with a blinged-out sling at a concert to raise money for the victims of Superstorm Sandy. Two months ago, she announced she was quitting TV talent show “American Idol,” to focus on the music. Bon Jovi donated $1 million dollars to the Sandy Hurricane Relief Fund.

New Jersey native Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle are expecting their first baby, they revealed to E! News, which happens to air their reality show, “Married to Jonas.” The second season ended in May and while the show has not been renewed, perhaps with the arrival of baby Jonas that will change. Stay tuned.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” star Joe Guidice, fraud and forgery trial has been delayed yet again, this time because of his attorney tackling a homicide case expected to last a few months. Guidice, who faces a sentence up to 10 years in prison on the more serious charge of fraudulently obtaining a New Jerseydriver’s license was to start last week. Guidice was arrested more than two years ago after a police officer pulled him over and discovered he allegedly used his brother’s identification to get a driver’s license while his own was suspended due to DUI.
