SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that transpired in the Tenderloin District. The SFPD reported on July 24, officers responded to the 200 block of Jones Street regarding an aggravated assault that occurred at approximately 3:57 p.m. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male victim who was being treated by paramedics suffering from injuries due to the assault.

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital for potentially life-threatening injuries. The victim remained in the hospital receiving medical treatment for injuries he sustained, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased in the hospital on August 4. The name and age of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.
