SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department indicated via Twitter that it is investigating a shooting that transpired on 5th Street on January 4.
At approximately 6:31 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of 5th Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Officers rendered aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. This is an open and active investigation.
On January 5, the SFPD reported that an arrest in the case had been made. An adult male subject approached them, while they were on the scene.
Officers developed probable cause and placed Taylor Reed, 29, under arrest. Charges are still pending.
