SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal car crash that transpired on August 1. According to a press release from the SFPD, the incident occurred on Harney Way and Executive Park Boulevard in the Bayview District.

Officers who arrived on the scene found a vehicle that collided with a pedestrian who was jogging on the sidewalk. The victim, a 37 year old San Francisco resident, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been disclosed to the public.

The driver, identified as Devon Radel, 21, of San Bruno, remained at the scene until police and paramedics arrived. Radel was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained from the crash.

On Thursday, August 3, Radel was booked at San Francisco County Jail on one felony count of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.
