SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department announced on September 24 that a stolen mini Labradoodle has been reunited with its owner.
The SFPD reported on Wednesday, September 23, at approximately 5:45 p.m. officers assigned to Northern Station responded to Lombard and Webster Streets regarding a stolen mini labradoodle dog, “Easton.”
The victim reported that she briefly left her dog tied up to go into a daycare center. When she came outside, her dog was nowhere to be found.
Responding officers immediately began searching the area and issued a department-wide notification. While coordinating with the SFPD Real Time Investigation Center (RTIC) and the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, officers identified the suspects’ location on the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue.
SFPD Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC) officers responded to assist with the investigation. Approximately 2 hours after the dog was taken, officers spotted the suspects and the dog emerging from a doorway. Officers immediately detained the suspects and recovered the stolen dog.
SFPD officers notified the victim and arranged for her to reunite with her dog at Tenderloin Station. No additional details about the suspects have been disclosed by the SFPD.
