SAN FRANCISCO—Hawaii resident, Connie Ho, is asking for the public’s help in catching the person who  attacked her grandmother in San Francisco’s Chinatown and the Good Samaritan who helped her on Mother’s Day.

The elderly woman was shopping for groceries on May 10, when an unidentified woman disembarked from the Muni bus and repeatedly attacked the victim sometime between 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The assault resulted in no robbery and is assumed to be merely an act of rage. A Good Samaritan, who is still unknown, helped the victim to the curb and was able to return her to her home in Japantown.

Disoriented, the elderly woman collapsed a few days later from the result of head and brain related trauma from the incident. She is now listed in a coma, and according to medical reports the victim is near death.

Her family and the San Francisco Police Department have reached out via social media utilizing Facebook and Instagram for information related to the attack. Anyone with information should call the SFPD at (415) 553-8090.
