CALIFORNIA—Missing mother of 2, Sherri Papini, 34 disappeared on Wednesday, November 2 while on a midday jog around 2:00p.m. on Sunset Drive in Mountain Gate. Friends, family, and neighbors are continuing to search for Papini since the Redding,CA resident went missing 5 days ago.

When Papini’s husband, Keith Papini returned home from work, he realized that his wife’s care was parked at home but that she and their 2 children were not. He then discovered that his wife had not picked up their two children, ages 2 and 4, from daycare as per usual. He resorted to using the Find My iPhone application to investigate her latest whereabouts. The application directed Papini to the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Sunset Drive according to Sgt. Brian Jackson, Shasta County Sherriff’s Office. When his wife was nowhere to be found near her abandoned phone, he called authorities for help. “That’s when in my opinion she had been taken or abducted,” expressed Papini in a KRCR-TV interview.

The Redding Police Department is working with the Shasta County Sherriff’s Office to contact parolees, registered sex offenders, and people on probation. Shasta County Sherriff’s Office Lieutenant Anthony Bertain noted that, “So far no leads have come from those particular individuals.”

Lieutenant Bertain reported that the ground search has been temporarily halted until more information is gathered on the investigation. “We have not ruled out going back out there, but right now it’s temporarily suspended until we get a better direction on which way we are going to go on this investigation,” Bertain explained, indicated by a KRCR News report.

Sherri Papini is 5’3, weighing in at 105lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink jogging hoodie. Papini’s family is offering a $50,000 reward to bring her home safely.
