SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a commercial burglar, who entered an optometry office located at the 1300 block of Polk Street in the city’s Polk Gulch neighborhood, and stole several pairs of high end sunglasses.

The burglary, which occurred on November 11, at 5:25 p.m., was caught on surveillance video and shows the unknown suspect entering the office and walking directly to the sunglass counter. The suspect ultimately escapes with merchandise totaling over $900.

The surveillance video released by the SFPD revealed that the sunglass bandit appears to be a black male with brown hair, standing approximately 5 feet and 8 inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds. He is seen wearing a dark grey jacket, black beanie, dark jeans and carrying a black backpack.
