SAN FRANCISCO—Officers from the San Francisco Police Department who were conducting a wellbeing check at a residence on the 100 block of Alhambra Street in the Marina District, found a 32-year-old man dead near the doorway. Authorities were dispatched at around 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 27.

The victim has been identified as  Kelly G. Freeman. The SFPD released a photo of Kelly with the press release posted on their website.

Kelly, who was at first deemed to be sleeping on the doorway of the residence was unresponsive when found by police. Paramedics transferred Kelly’s body to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later pronounced dead. The hospital determined that Kelly had been the victim of a gunshot wound.

The San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail has launched an investigation into the case and are seeking help of the general public to identify Kelly, who doesnt have a local address.
