SAN FRANCISCO—A shooting in San Francisco’s Mission District on Friday, March 17 left Jorge Martinez, 44, of San Bruno dead.

According to reports, at around 12:50 a.m. officers from the San Francisco Police Department responded to gunshots. Martinez was found suffering from at least one gun shot wound on 19th Street between Mission and Capp Streets, in front of business, San Francisco Haircuts. He was rushed to the hospital before being pronounced dead.

A news stringer known as BayNewsHunter on Twitter was in the neighborhood and captured the scene of the investigation on camera. The scene continued to unfold Friday morning.

Police have not released details on the shooting and have not identified a suspect. This is the 10th homicide of the year in San Francisco, and the second to occur in the Mission District.
