SAN FRANCISCO—Bay Area’s high winds caused a tree to fall at the Martinez Farmers Market on Sunday, October 27, injuring nine people.

The tree toppled at 10:15 a.m. just a few minutes after the markets “Trunk or Treat” event took place.

All of those injured were transported to a nearby hospital  for treatment. Those injured ranged from toddlers to senior citizens. No other details about the victims has been disclosed to the public. 

The “Trunk or Treat” event was cancelled after the tree collapsed.
