SAN FRANCISCO—A 40 year-old man was stabbed on Tuesday, January 3 after 6 p.m. outside the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The victim suffered from stab wounds to the face and torso.

The incident was reported at 6:13 p.m. where authorities indicated the suspect, described as a man in his 30s, and the victim had gotten into an argument the night before. The suspect approached the victim Tuesday outside the venue and a second argument broke out.

The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim repeatedly. The suspect took off South on Polk Street.

According to the San Francisco Examiner, an Oakland resident who witnessed the stabbing explained what happened.

“I don’t know why. I turned around, and he was stabbing, stabbing, stabbing. I was like, ‘Oh, God,’” Brown said. “It’s really crazy.”

The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public. Authorities are still searching for the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD.
